What a wonderful IPL 2023 it was! Congratulations to all the organizers and most importantly, the players and spectators.
This year's tournament saw many firsts, loads of close-finishes, redefined benchmarks, umpteen close finishes, and of course, non-stop entertainment.
I do realize this is mostly an exercise in futile academic pursuit, but this is precisely the kind of thing the heart wants to do when it watches some good performances consistently. So, why not? Based on what I saw, there are several top-notch stars who can be earmarked for the future. And so, I set out, to select my Indian XI for the future.

It's time for all these gems to come to the fore and unravel their talent to the world. I have been mighty impressed by each of them and hope that they will form the core of the Indian team of the future.
